Setting the Wards: Patriarch's Crypt

This is the 6th quest in The Catacombs series of quests. This is arguably the most annoying quest in the series. The idea is simple, activate the 3 sarcophacus and free Marguerite. Muwahahahahaha.

You start the quest after entering from The Lower Cathedral quest in the middle of the map (marker #1). The north wing is blocked. Make your way to the first Sarcophacus (marker #2) and activate it. Head back to the middle and turn south and proceed to activate the second Sarcophacus (marker #3). Head back to the middle and head west to the third Sarcophacus (marker #4).

Once you active the third Sarcophacus, the floor falls out underneath the big room outside each sarcophacus. Pick the west wing to be the third sarcophacus to activate since it's the only one that holds a chest under the floor. No matter which wing you choose, there are monsters down there that you must fight.

Make your way to the shrine before activating the Main Sarcophacus (marker #1 - but on a lower floor). You will need everyone to be full health for the next part. Now head to the center and activate the Main Sarcophacus.

A named wraith named Marguerite will spawn. You cannot kill her, she is invincible, but she can definetly kill you. You need to escape the crypt, which means... run. Run as fast as you can up the paths to the Entrance (marker #1) to escape. She can run faster than you, so you need to flee like, well... like a wraith is chasing you trying to kill you. Expect members to die and do not expect to be dragged to the rest shrine because you are extremely likely be killed again. Release and head back to the Catacombs. If the entire group wipes out, the last to die needs to stay dead and not release to give the rest of the group time to come back. This is to make sure the quest does not reset.

After you are finished picking up all the keys on your keyboard from the floor from your frustration, proceed back to the Catacombs and up to the Archbishop to recieve a reward ranging from normal to +1 with no diplomacy. Talk to him again to gain the next quest in the series, Endgame: Marguerite.
