The Shan Ta Kor Chain
The Shan Ta Kor series is the continuation of the storyline that was presented at the end of the Waterworks series. After finding the Seal of Shan Ta Kor under the body of Venn in the Venn’s Fate final quest in the Waterworks series, Guard Tember will send you into the Marketplace to talk to a "Wayfinder". You will find her on the southeast portion of the Marketplace and she is the one to give you the Shan Ta Kor series of quests.
To make this easier on your group, come prepared. With what? With at least one wizard or sorcerer that has magic missile. If you can’t find one, then go out and spend all your cash on acquiring adamantine weapons. The reason for this is that the find boss fight at the end of the series requires adamantine weapons to bypass his immense damage reduction from melee, but spells work just fine too. Other than that, it’s the normal group grind.
To get to the quest instances, you'll need to get through the Steam Tunnels first. You start off in the zone at the top of a series of platforms and ladders leading down to a pool of water (marker #1). There aren't many encounters in this zone.
The north and east wings have nothing special except for an encounter for tiny experience. The south wing has a bunch of spiders and a final Spider Queen (marker #2) that may spawn, who may prove to be a challenging fight for a single person. No reward is given for killing her other than the same tiny amount of experience.
The west wing is where you will find the Kobold Blockade Entrance for The Cloven Jaw Scourge: Blockade. There is a group of kobolds on your way to the entrance, but they are very easy.
